Project Scope

Under this requirements contract Techno provided construction management services at the Owls Head Wastewater Treatment Plant, as a sub-consultant to Hazen & Sawyer. 

The project included the replacement of the roof at the Thickener Building (21,000 square-feet), and the Digester Building (17,000 square-feet) in Brooklyn, NY.  Construction work involved demolishing the old roof, installing new energy efficient roof insulation, primer vapor barriers, cap sheet painted with a reflective white coating, and replacing the pitch pocket which is a mix of a type of resin with asphalt that turns into a rubber texture. This mixture is then applied with a paintbrush over a specific type of fabric, making the surface completely waterproof. 

Techno's responsibilities included day-to-day inspection of the construction work, ensuring contractor's compliance with contract specifications, drawings and code requirements, preparing change orders, and providing the Resident Engineer with daily reports.
