Techno is seeking an experienced and dynamicStructural Engineering Lead to join our corporate team in our New York City Office. The successful candidate will oversee structural engineering projects, lead a team of engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions across various sectors.

Job Description:

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supervise the preparation of structural designs, calculations, and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Mentor and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of engineering deliverables.

  • Work closely with other departments, including construction management and project controls, to ensure integrated project delivery.

  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development and client presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, as well as familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

  • Experience in the sectors we serve, such as rail and transit, aviation, or water and wastewater, preferred.

The expected salary range for this role in New York City Metropolitan Area is $110,000 - $195,000 per year. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process.
