Techno is seeking a highly skilled and experienceAirport Inspector to join our project team in Baltimore. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all construction work is performed in compliance with contract drawings, specifications, safety protocols, and all applicable codes.

Job Description:

  • Ensure that all construction work is performed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

  • Oversee the construction process to ensure safety, compliance, and completion within schedule.

  • Review and evaluate potential items of extra work, providing detailed justifications and cost estimates.

  • Monitor contractor performance, inspect completed work, and approve quantities of work in place for payment applications in a timely manner.

  • Prepare daily narratives, labor reports for time & material (T&M) work, and controlled inspection reports accurately.

  • Schedule and conduct site inspections as required to ensure construction quality and adherence to project plans.

  • Attend progress meetings, conduct final inspections, and document meeting minutes.

  •  Perform constructability reviews for future contracts, providing detailed comments on drawings and specifications within designated timeframes.

  • Coordinate construction activities with airport operations, police, maintenance, and other stakeholders to minimize disruptions and ensure a smooth construction process.

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 7 of experience as a construction inspector, with at least 3 years in airport/aviation projects.

  • Proven experience working on major airport projects is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and inspection techniques for airfield pavements, terminals, and associated facilities.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.

  • Experience in reviewing and justifying extra work and cost estimates.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality inspection standards.
