Techno is seeking aJunior Design Engineer to join our corporate team in our New York City Office. In this role, you will be managing and executing a variety of civil engineering projects while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description:

  • Assist in civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.

  • Perform design tasks, prepare bid documents including drawings and specifications, and organize all drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables, with supervision from project managers and senior staff. 

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate project success.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure projects align with design and safety guidelines.

  • Help with overseeing project documentation, including permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management.

  • Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license is preferred but not required.

The expected salary range for this role in New York City Metropolitan Area is $70,000 - $110,000 per year. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process.
