Techno is seeking a detail-orientedOffice Engineerto join our project team. In this role, you will support project management teams and ensure the seamless execution of infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will coordinate documentation, review project plans, and provide administrative and technical support to facilitate efficient and successful project delivery.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate kick-off and progress meetings with the project team, record all minutes and coordinate architects, surveyors, construction team and the stakeholders’ efforts.

  • Monitor the contractor’s work progress based on the approved construction schedule.

  • Review the contractor's partial payment requests.

  • Prepare project documentation and correspondence and maintain project files.

  • Prepare budgets, estimates, and scope of work and managing and overseeing the subcontracts, billing processes, insurances requirements and invoices for subcontractors and clients.

  • Analyzes specifications, drawings, sketches, and sample layouts to calculate total construction cost using labor, material, and equipment pricing schedules in concert with historical data.

  • Assists construction management with the preparation of schedules for estimate preparation, review, and publication. Reviews takeoffs with construction management and checks for mathematical and technical accuracy.

  • Assists in the preparation of independent cost estimates (ICE) for submitted change order proposals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a closely related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Office Engineer, with significant involvement in water-main construction projects.

  • Familiarity with city infrastructure projects, including roadway and utility installations, preferably within the New York Metro area.

  • Knowledge of NYCDEP, NYCEDC, and NYCDDC standards and procedures is a big plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and eBuilder.

The expected salary range for this role in the New York City Metropolitan Area is $79,144 - $151,692 per year. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process.
