Techno is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator with a proven track record of managing high-value estimation packages for large-scale rail systems projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in rail infrastructure projects, particularly those exceeding $2.5 billion in value.Job Description:

  • Lead the cost estimation process for high-value rail system projects, with budgets exceeding $2.5 billion.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Analyze project documents, including blueprints and specifications, to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Develop and manage cost estimation models, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on estimation data and cost forecasts.
  • Lead estimation teams and mentor junior estimators, ensuring accuracy and consistency in estimates across the board.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to gather and analyze cost data for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Regularly update cost estimates as project designs and scope evolve, ensuring up-to-date and accurate financial projections.
  • Present detailed cost estimation reports to internal and external stakeholders, explaining methodology, assumptions, and key cost drivers.
  • Work closely with the project management team to develop and monitor project budgets and financial performance.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in cost estimation, specifically for large-scale rail infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the cost estimation process for projects with budgets over $2.5 billion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering designs, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience leading estimation teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost forecasting and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with rail systems and large infrastructure project management.

Pay: $79,143.60 - $151,691.67 per year
