Techno is pleased to announce that Bharat Parekh, P.E., ENV SP, joined Techno in 2022. As an Assistant Vice President in our New York City office, Bharat will be responsible for leading design related pursuits and project management/delivery - from inception to completion. 

Bharat has over 43 years of professional experience working on Program/Project Management projects in design and construction of infrastructure. Prior to joining Techno, Bharat has dedicated more than 28 years of professional expertise to New York City as Director of Bridges (NYCDOT - Bureau of Bridges) and as Senior Project Executive (NYCDDC - Division of Infrastructure). With NYCDOT - Division of Bridges, he oversaw a program of about $800 million (about 60 bridges in various phases of design and construction). With NYCDDC - Division of Infrastructure, he oversaw a program of about $460 million consisting of various pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, step streets, plazas, waterfront structures, etc. Bharat is familiar with the standards and procedures of NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP, NYCDPR, DSNY, MTA C&D, NYSDOT, FHWA,etc.

Bharat holds a Masters in Structural Engineering from City College in New York City and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
