Verona Board of Education Laning School

The Board of Education, Verona, New Jersey has undertaken the task of expansion of the Laning Avenue School in Verona. The project includes construction and additions of a new 6,000 SF gymnasium, 4,000  SF media center and 5,000 SF of classrooms for the Laning Avenue Elementary School.

The proposed project is a 1 Story Building and comprises of the additions of a gymnasium, media center and regular classrooms.  The methods of construction is concrete slab on grade, steel frame and load bearing concrete masonry walls, brick veneer and concrete masonry cavity walls, concrete masonry interior walls,  a  combination of  a  concrete slab  and steel deck on steel joist, and concrete plank floor construction. The construction utilizes a combination of a membrane roofing system on steel deck and joists and a standing seam metal roof with rigid insulation. The building is equipped with an automatic sprinkler system throughout.
