Techno Consult provided professional services directly as an extension of staff to the Engineering & Maintenance Unit of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Techno also provided oversight of construction activities and coordination of work for various PATH construction projects, including:

Replacement & Upgrade of the Christopher Street Substation:
This project is an upgrade of an existing Substation which includes the installation of additional switch gear, pulling new cables from manhole to substation, testing and termination of medium voltage cables. This project consists of an upgrade of existing electrical equipment and related devices for DC Traction Power and AC High and Medium Voltages including SCADA System, Fire Alarm System, Security System, Fire Suppression System, lighting system and other miscellaneous required. The Substation building requires civil work to replace aging structure, replacement of obsolete overhead Crane, construction of additional stairwell for egress, replacement of existing concrete floor slab, and relocation and addition of electrical and mechanical equipment.

Harrison Station Replacement and Upgrade, Harrison, New Jersey:
The work includes the following: Replacement and Upgrade of the existing New Jersey PATH Harrison Station. Install new temporary platforms and two egress stairs prior to the demolition of the existing station platform. Install caissons and mini piles in preparation for the installation of the new Northeast and Southeast train station head houses. Excavate and install new sheet piles a support of excavation for the installation of utilities.
