PANYNJ Port Authority Bus Terminal Facility Upgrades and Improvements
The Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT) is the main gateway for interstate buses into Manhattan in New York City and owned and operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). Located in Midtown at 625 Eighth Avenue between 40th Street and 42nd Street, one block east of the Lincoln Tunnel and one block west of Times Square.
As a part of Techno’s On-Call Agreement with the PANYNJ providing CM & Inspection staff throughout various locations and facilities, Techno has been provding electrical, mechanical, civil and structural inspection services at the PA Bust Terminal in Manhattan. Over the years, the PANYNJ has been successful in its attempts to expand passenger facilities which has lead to many large and small-scale reconstruction and tenant fit-out projects ranging from $ 2 to 3 millions to over $100 million in complex projects while maintaining the building operation of the busiest transit terminal in the world by volume of traffic serving about 8,000 buses and 225,000 people on an average weekday with 223 departure gates and 1,250 car parking spaces, as well as commercial and retail space. Construction Management services include:
- Electrical repairs/rehabilitations and monitoring
- MEP/HVAC upgrades
- Security system rehabilitation
- Commercial and administrative tenant fit-out
- Installation of signage and graphics
