PANYNJ JFK Redevelopment Program Delta/JFKIAT

Techno held a direct contract with Delta to perform Construction Management Services at JFK International Airport. Our CM staff provided inspection and construction oversight for various civil and structural construction projects at the airport, which included the following:

DELTA Airlines Terminal 4:

Delta Airlines continued it’s development of JFK Terminal 4 with a $1.5 billion dollar budget to expand and modernize the facility at the north east end of the terminal which included ten (10) additional gates and public accommodations to address the commuter needs of its users as it has done in LGA Airport.

Delta and JFKIAT are developing a fresh and modern terminal to deliver an elevated airport experience to New York travelers. The project will increase the capacity of the airport by building ten (10) new aircraft parking positions, a domestic baggage claim carousel, and transitioning all operations into Terminal 4 – making JFK travel more convenient for all Delta customers. The JFK Terminal 4 Phase 2.5 redevelopment program also includes an updated check-in hall, 150,000 square-feet of new gate finishes, seating, and areas to relax, added curb drop-off space, additional digital signage, restroom modernizations, continued technology enhancements, and the transformation of regional jet gate areas to accommodate mainline aircraft.

Techno provided superintendent services to oversee the need concourse addition and the retrofit and modification work to tie in the utility services to the existing superintendents and its primary utilities. Techno’s main responsibilities included, assessing scope requirements, estimating resources, preparing schedules for various projects, secured all authorizations and interfacing with Federal Aviation Administration representatives during the life cycle of these projects. Techno also performed inspection services and coordinated with the field and design team to resolve conflict in drawings.
