NYCHA Health Homes Department QA & Performance Management

Techno Consult, Inc., provided Quality Assurance and Performance Management services to NYCHA’s Health Home program under AECOM for the lead inspections and abatement reports. Techno is also responsible for verifying accuracy within the standards of NYC, HUD, and EPA regulations.

The NYCHA Healthy Homes Campaign was created to provide safe and healthy homes for residents of New York City, through projects such as roof fan replacements, mold and asbestos cleanup and repairs and rehab to stop leaks. These improvements will improve air flow, reduce, and address the root causes of mold growth and provide residents with a better quality of life.

Our QA personnel worked on identifying key errors in the lead inspection and abatement reports and provide suggestions for possible solutions, assist with data entry, verify invoices from various vendors, assist in analysis of operations within the division, identifies metrics and drafts critical reports that communicate the QA/QC program performance, and identify and understand metrics that will be used to measure and report vendor’s performance, and progress. 

In 2022, the Healthy Homes Unit’s Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation (OMAR) completed the installation of 6,188 new roof fans and nearly 2,000 mold cleaning work orders. In addition, OMAR has so far completed 381 complex repair work orders using vendor resources and also mobilized superintendents and assistant superintendents on its team to inspect mold in buildings.
