NYCDEP PW-101 Various BWT Locations
Techno provided Construction Management Services in connection with the WP-112 Capital Program, managed by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) Bureau of Wastewater Treatment (BWT). The project consisted of Job Order Contracts “JOC” and other ongoing, stand-alone capital projects. The goal was to support the JOC contracts at fourteen (14) Wastewater Pollution Control Plants, ninety-five (95) Pump Stations, and various other satellite facilities for Combined Sewer Outflows “CSO” storage. In addition, in-stream aeration and agency support was provided.
Techno staff attended and assisted in pre-construction and monthly progress meetings between operations, designers, Construction Contractors, and the DEP. During construction, Techno’s field inspectors prepared daily inspection reports, recorded and reported all field issues, as well as investigated and submitted recommendations to the DEP. Staff ensured safe work practices were in full compliance with the City, State, and Federal rules and regulations, and also monitored and enforced job hazzard mititgation including health & safety plans. Techno ensured construction operation activities were completed with minimal problems and impacts such as the demobilization of sites in a safe manner. Work was performed by the Construction Contractors in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, environmental health and safety policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
Techno covered multiple contracts in the East Region including work at the 26th Ward, Coney Island, Jamaica, Owls Head, and Rockaway WWTP.
