NYCDDC Petroleum Storage Tanks Upgrade

The New York City Department of Design and Construction is engaged in a major program to remove/upgrade/replace petroleum storage tanks in City facilities. DDC has engaged four construction management teams for the provision of all services necessary and required to ensure petroleum storage tanks compliance with all local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations, including compliance with all protocols required by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.  Parsons Corporation leads one of these teams in which Techno is a major sub-consultant.

Our scope of services in general includes site investigation, design assistance, and construction management. Specifically, our work consists of  construction management and engineering design services for the following:

  1. Site evaluation
  2. Tank integrity inspection
  3. Removal, upgrading and/or replacement of petroleum product storage tanks, to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.

Techno’s staff is required to provide various services for numerous sites, which will be assigned by DDC based on the following:

  • To determine the order of priority for the performance of the required services. at the assigned sites.
  • To increase or decrease  the sites assigned to the CM.
  • To assign sites to the CM in any of the locations specified in the contract.
