Nassau County DPW Glen Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant Preliminary Treatment System Improvements

Techno is a subconsultant to Gannett Fleming on this project. Gannett Fleming is serving as the construction manager and is working with the design engineering firm H2M, as well as construction contractor RJ Industries Inc., to perform an overhaul of the systems at the Glen Cove Wastewater Treatment Facility. The plant systems are being improved per the requirements of The Nassau County Department of Public Works (NCDPW) and in accordance with the plant management company Veolia North America. The project involves the demolition of the existing WWTP systems and the installation of new systems. These systems will include new bar screens, washer compactors, slide gates, sluice gates, and other accessories. In addition, the systems will also feature new shaftless screw conveyor belts, influent sewage pumps and piping replacement, new PVC piping installation, new upgraded MCC (Motor Control Center) and an upgrade of the HVAC systems including ducts and exhaust fans. .

Techno is providing the following Construction Inspection services at Glen Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant, including:

• New installation work on the WWTP systems
• Coordinating & Serving as a liason between all project stake holders
• Ensuring project deliverables are achieved efficiently and on time
• Overseeing saftey work environments during installation of work
• Ensuring Quality Control measures are adopted
