DC Water Utilities & Infrastructure Upgrades outside Blue Plains WWTP

Techno is currently providing construction quality inspection and construction management services for this project as a consultant to the District of Columbia Water & Sewer Authority (DC Water). 

This Project consists of cleaning and pre and post CCTV inspection of sewer pipes, CIPP installation, point repairs, lateral connection rehabilitation, and manhole rehabilitation. This includes but is not limited to ensuring compliance with DC Water standards for construction and overall compliance with the contract documents and contract requirements (i.e. materials approvals, safety plan approvals, sub-contractor compliance, etc.). 

Specific Quantities & Work Completed: 

• Cleaning before and after CCTV inspection of approximately 70,000 LF of Storm, Sanitary, and Combined Sewer pipe 
• Installation of approximately 70,000 LF of Cured In Place Pipe lining in storm, sanitary, and combined sewer pipe 
• Reinstatement of approximately 1,755 service laterals 
• Rehabilitation of approximately 500 service lateral connections 
• Cleaning and rehabilitation of approximately 400 manholes 

In addition, the project included Safety and Maintenance and Protection of Traffic for high volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic and to maintain access to business and mass transit.specifications, as well as the contract specifications were met.
