Con Edison Unionport HDD
Project consisted of designing a 500 ft long Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) bore which will carry high voltage electric cables. The bore crossed underneath Westchester Creek from Chatterton Avenue to Brush Avenue, just north of the existing Unionport Bridge. The HDD design was very challenging because it crossed between an existing high voltage electric line and an existing mid-pressure gas line in a water crossing with several marine structures.
