City of Baltimore DPW Old York Road and Vicinity Water Mains Replacements

As a part of Louis Berger’s team, Techno’s CM and inspection responsibilities include onsite inspection of City standards and safety compliance, daily report writing and coding, drawing sketches of work completed, writing of special incident reports, maintaining an accurate record of the daily activities of the contractor in the City’s CM-14 system 

Our Scope for W.C. #1278 includes the installation of: 

  • 2,052+/- L.F. of 16-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 1,294+/- L.F. of 12-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 1,707+/- L.F. of 10-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 9,931+/- L.F. of 8-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 125+/- L.F. of 6-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 20+/- L.F. of 4-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 6+/- L.F. of 3-inch diameter DIP water main and fittings 
  • 4,203+/- L.F. of 3/4-inch to 2-inch diameter Copper tubing, curb stops, and fittings 

Techno’s CM Staff is also responsible for the inspection of the: 

  • Reconnection of water service connections to the new DIP water mains Pipe restraints, thrust blocks, thrusts, collars, etc; 
  • Installation of replacement single/twin meter vaults; 
  • Installation of all bypass piping and temporary water services, including but not limited to hydrant and underground connections, all testing and disinfection requirements, removal of all bypass piping and temporary water services, and restoration after permanent service have been restored; 
  • Disinfection and testing of the new 3-inch, 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch and 16-inch water main, fittings, valves and appurtenances; 
  • Restoration of all disturbed areas; 
  • Removal and disposal off site of all excavated and demolished materials; 
  • All clean up and restoration of construction staging areas; 
  • All erosion and sediment control devices and measures; 
  • All temporary Maintenance of Traffic requirements.
